QUEENSBURY, N.Y. (WNYT) – A Queensbury firefighter was after hurt falling 25 feet when the aerial bucket detached from the firetruck. The Queensbury Central Department said in a Facebook post that just before 11 p.m. on July 24, firefighters were responding to a fire alarm activation call at the Staples on Upper Glen Street in Queensbury. The fire department said firefighter Brian Novohradsky fell to the ground. Firefighters Richard Jones and Nicholas Gattuso were suspended in the bucket truck upside down for about 45 minutes. They were taken to Glens Falls Hospital for precautionary evaluation.
