According to jail records, Christopher Arron Blackwell, 36, of Cerro Gordo, was booked into the Columbus County Detention Center on July 27. Blackwell is charged with:Possession of a firearm by a felonMisdemeanor larcenyMisdemeanor crime of domestic violenceAssault on a femaleAssault by pointing a gunAssault with a deadly weaponAssault by strangulationSecond-degree kidnappingJail records show Blackwell received a $50,000 secured bond for the firearm possession charge and a $10,000 secured bond for the misdemeanor larceny charge. The charges are currently pending, and Blackwell is awaiting trial. The Columbus County Sheriff’s Office is the arresting agency.
