Now in its 23rd year, Day at the Docks showcases the traditions of Hatteras Island watermen and those who live in the community by sharing with visitors how the fishing industry works. The “Spirit of Hatteras” celebration is set to kick off Friday, Sept. 18, with Seafood Under the Stars, a chef prepared, five-course dinner with optional wine pairings featuring locally sourced seafood. The dinner will begin at 6:30 p.m. in the Hatteras Civic Center and is limited to 120 seats.
