Christine Ann Gabelli, aged 81 and ordinarily resident in Wokingham, died on June 27 this year, a court heard. The inquest into her death was opened this morning (Tuesday, July 28) at Reading Coroner's Court by Senior Coroner Mrs Heidi J Connor. Mrs Connor told the court that the 81-year-old died at the Royal Berkshire Hospital in Reading and that her identity was confirmed by a doctor. The coroner said the provisional cause of death was heatstroke alongside dementia. Matters are still being investigated and the inquest has been adjourned until a later date, which will be listed in due course.
