Fierté Montreal has announced plans to boost security around their upcoming events in light of the van attack that left one person dead and 29 injured at Berlin Pride on Saturday.
The 20th edition of Fierté Montreal Pride begins this Friday, July 31 and runs through Aug. 9.
For the Pride Parade on Aug. 9, police will assist Fierté’s roughly 300 security personnel in blocking cross streets along the route on René-Lévesque Boulevard.
