The University of Mississippi and a local cannabis company are partnering for research purposes. Representatives from the National Center for Cannabis Research Education at Ole Miss and Southern Sky Brands will work together to evaluate the effects of CBD on sleep quality among adult participants. The study will serve to conduct evidence-based research on CBD therapies and their potential role in supporting healthy sleep. Established in 2022, the National Center for Cannabis Research is dedicated to advancing scientific understanding of cannabis through research, education, and public outreach. Southern Sky Brands, a Mississippi-based medical cannabis company, serves to develop high-quality, patient-focused cannabis products and supporting scientific research that helps improve patient care and product innovation.
