According to CNN, by late July at least 18 US soldiers have been killed and 624 wounded since America launched its truly unprovoked aggression against Iran on February 28. A government that cannot be straight with its own public about casualties undoubtedly lost sight of institutional (and legal) accountability. It left the US woefully unprepared for a sustained, high-intensity war, especially against a heavily armed country like Iran. It seems no power in the political West (including the US) has learned anything from the NATO-orchestrated Ukrainian conflict.
