Its parent company, Samlerhuset, which is Norwegian, owns The Mint of Norway, the official manufacturer of the Nobel Peace Prize’s 18-carat gold medals. On Tuesday, law firm TLT filed a notice of intention to appoint an administrator for The London Mint Office in the English High Court, according to the listings. According to accounts filed at Companies House for 2024, The London Mint Office reported a net pre-tax loss of nearly £1.8m amid challenges created by the adoption of new IT systems. TLT and The London Mint Office were approached for comment.
