Broadway Box Office: ‘Ragtime,’ ‘Cats: The Jellicle Ball’ Hit Highest Grosses Yet

Ragtime broke its own house record at the Vivian Beaumont Theater, bringing in $1.625 million last week, marking the highest gross for Lincoln Center Theater.
The best musical revival had an average ticket price of $192.95, the second highest on Broadway last week, behind Hamilton, and played to 100 percent capacity.
Cats: The Jellicle Ball continues to have a pre-closing resurgence, with the show also hitting its highest gross yet, with close to $1.2 million.
The average ticket price jumped up to $126.55 week and capacity increasing to more than 100 percent, ahead of the musical’s Aug. 8 closing.
The show, which played its final performance July 26, played to 99 percent capacity and the average ticket price increased to $142.22.
