Back in late 60s into the 80s Loveland, Colorado, used to have a Lego manufacturing operation; so, why not make some of Loveland's landmarks and buildings out of Legos?
Colorado Artist Creates Loveland Buildings Out of Legosin May of 2015, the Lincoln Gallery in Downtown Loveland held a showing of local artist John Metcalf's depiction of some of Loveland landmarks and buildings created out of Legos.
2015 was long before The Lego Movie, The Lego Batman Movie, and Lego Masters on TV; but Legos have been wildly popular since they were first made, back in 1932.
The Loveland factory was specifically a Lego factory, making American versions of the European toy.
