Green pioneers explore path, partnership at Boao forum Perth conference

Around 200 representatives from governments, businesses and academic institutions across Asia, Oceania and Africa have gathered at the Boao Forum for Asia (BFA) Perth Conference, sharing their insights under the theme “Green Transition: Towards a Shared Future for Humanity and the Planet”.
In his opening remarks, Zhang Jun, secretary general of BFA, pointed out that the global green transition, led by energy transition, can inject fresh impetus into addressing global challenges.
Holgate was one among the many delegates who noted that China’s remarkable achievements in green development provide valuable experience for the world’s green transition and sustainable development.
Australia and China can cooperate on facilitating the green transition of industries including mining, steel and cement, said Forrest.
Rhys Roberts, national president of the Australia China Business Council, also expressed his optimism in collaboration between the two countries.
