The Ghana Education Service (GES) has extended the teacher promotion applications to Thursday, October 9, 2025. It will be recalled that the GES, in an earlier statement issued in August 2025, announced that it would extend the deadline for the 2025 Teacher Promotion Application process to give all eligible teachers ample time to complete their submissions. The 2025 promotion exercise covers four ranks — Deputy Director, Assistant Director I, Assistant Director II, and Principal Superintendent — and is strictly open to serving teachers who meet the eligibility requirements. Assistant Director I – Must have been promoted to Assistant Director II in or before 2020 under the same conditions. Only certificates earned in or before 2022 will be considered for promotions beyond Principal Superintendent.
