Tetra Pak and network technology company Axis Communications have developed a new digital solution, enabling ice cream manufacturers to gain real-time visibility across every stage of the production line. The innovation, called ‘Ice Cream Video Care,’ is the result of a six-year process monitoring collaboration between Tetra Pak and Axis. Up to 16 cameras can be installed across each ice cream line via Axis’ video management software, Axis Camera Station, to enable safe, remote inspection without disrupting operations. Tetra Pak Ice Cream Video Care marks the first major expansion of camera-based process monitoring into ice cream production lines, the company said. Katrin Andersson, managing director for Tetra Pak North Europe, commented: “Tetra Pak and Axis Communications are combining deep knowledge of food production with advanced monitoring technology, enabling manufacturers to gain greater insight into their operations.
