The ruble-denominated MOEX Index gained 2.18% to end Monday's main trading session at 2,212.81 points, while the dollar-denominated RTS Index climbed 2.2% to 893.5 points. "The MOEX Index kicked off the week with a strong rally, easily breaking above the 2,200 resistance level. Geopolitical hopes and the Central Bank's unexpected key interest rate cut boosted market sentiment," Andrey Smirnov, a stock market expert at BCS World of Investments, said. The forecast for the dollar, euro, and yuan is 77-79 rubles, 87-89 rubles, and 11.3-11.8 rubles, respectively. Selective demand driven by sector rotation could push the MOEX Index further toward 2,250 points.
