Riungu, who is also a member of St. Romanos the Melodist Choir in his Parish, urged the young people to keep their hope alive despite the challenges they face. “For the young people, I tell them that there is a lot of hope about the future. There is a lot to learn from society, from the church. This is the force that we need to see also, giving an impact on the way society transforms, socially, spiritually, economically and in many other spheres,” he added. Sr. Margaret Muhavi of St. John's Parish, Nairobi, who is pursuing a Master's degree in Education at the Catholic University of Eastern Africa (CUEA), said she was encouraged by the Bishops' promise to accompany young people more intentionally.
