Investing.com -- Luxury goods group LVMH posted higher second-quarter sales on Monday, supported by strong demand in the United States that helped offset softer spending in Europe and the Gulf following the Iran conflict. Second-quarter revenue rose 3% organically to €19.5 billion, while first-half revenue totalled €38.6 billion, with organic growth of 2%. The division posted quarterly sales of €8.9 billion, up 1% year-on-year, an improvement from the 2% decline logged in the prior quarter and a return to growth after several consecutive quarters of declines. Yet, "the quarter also highlighted that LVMH remains a quintessential play on the global middle-class," Bernstein analysts led by Luca Solca said. "The advent of AI, and growing consumer polarization, has also generated headwinds for LVMH."
