On June 30, 2026, the Ghumu community celebrated the official handover of their new footpath project. This vital rural infrastructure was co-funded by the Ngella Constituency Office and the People’s Republic of China (PRC). He added that the new pathway connects Ghumu to nearby communities, schools, health centres, and markets, strengthening community ties and boosting rural trade. Member of Parliament Honourable Choylin Yim Douglas and a representative from the PRC Embassy, Counsellor Zhao officially handed over the footpath to the community. The Ngella Constituency provided hardware materials, freight, and labor, amounting to approximately $300,000 under the Constituency Development Fund (CDF) program while the PRC contributed $100,000.
