Inspector Rod Honan, Counties Manukau East Area Commander, says the vehicle began speeding through the Manukau area. The 34-year-old man driving man was arrested and will appear in the Manukau District Court today charged with dangerous driving, failing to stop, resisting police and unlawfully taking a motor vehicle. “Cordons were established, and area searches located four alleged offenders as they attempted to flee in different directions.” Enquiries into the property found the alleged offenders were allegedly linked to a burglary at a tech repair shop in Takanini earlier in the evening. Inspector Honan is pleased with the apprehension of the five alleged offenders.
