By ANGELA FARR KINGMayor George Holleman began the September 3, 2024, Town Council meeting by sharing from the Bible in Isaiah 40:28-31. In his report as Town Manager, Hester thanked Aaron Wike for the work he has done as Town Manager before him and commended him and his team receiving a Certificate of Excellence when submitting the Town’s water for testing. Zach Greene, the Town Finance Director, brought forth a resolution to authorize the new Town Manager to sign checks for the Town. Two officers from the Town must sign any check, draft, or order and they may be the: Finance Director, the Deputy Finance Director, the Town Manager, the Public Utilities Manager, or the Mayor. During staff reports, Town Manager Hester said there has been an official annexation request to the Town of Taylorsville signed by Haley H. Daniel.
