A Douglas woman and her son have been arrested and charged after they allegedly attacked a 36-year-old man at Georgian Woods Apartments, hitting him in the head with a handgun in the process. The two suspects, Veanitra Quevette Brown, 43, and Zion Deshon Brown, 22, both of Douglas, weren’t arrested until July. According to the report, Zion threw two punches at the victim, with one connecting. The victim fought back and while they were struggling, Veanitra hit him in the back of the head with a pistol. In the report, Veanitra said that the victim got a gun out of his vehicle.
