Branthwaite missed the first five months of the campaign, having had hamstring surgery in October, before suffering another issue to curtail his season. “It was good to get back out there, (it’s been) a long time since the Liverpool game last season. “After the Liverpool game it was tough and we had to re-evaluate what we were doing. You know, the only thing is to be ready for the first game of the season, to have a positive season, and put last season behind me."
