After a hard College National Finals Rodeo in 2025, Mousel made sure to practice on a variety of sizes of goats through the year so that she could return to the 2026 finals and win this time. Mousel competed in both goat tying and breakaway roping at the finals, winning the championship in the goat tying with a margin of .6 seconds on the runner up after four goats. Mousel gives credit to the support of her family, brother Jase Mousel, mom Jesse Mousel, herself in the middle, dad John Mousel and brother Jack Mousel. “I was really focused on my goat tying and then I blew my knee out when I was a junior so I had to sit out an entire year goat tying,” she said. “We practice a lot in Laramie and they really do try to do their best for me.”
