Incoming Solano County Administrator Ian Goldberg’s contract was approved by the Solano County Board of Supervisors at its Tuesday meeting, setting him up to take the role over full-time next week when current County Administrator Bill Emlen begins his retirement. Emlen said Goldberg’s salary was based on market analysis, and benefits were matched to other executive management rates in the county. The contract will run through Sept. 29, 2029, after which Goldberg will need to be reappointed to the role. “For me personally, it’s been a privilege doing this job for the county the last three and a half years,” Emlen said. Brown also noted global technology manufacturer Foxconn’s interest in California Forever’s Solano Foundry, first reported by The Reporter.
