The Solano County Board of Supervisors voted unanimously Tuesday to reallocate over $800,000 in American Rescue Plan Act spending to the county’s Radio Interoperability project. Of 61 total ARPA projects in Solano County, 32 had been fully expended by the end of July, Richards said. In 2024, the project was established with an expenditure of $250,000 ARPA funds and $1,136,903 non-ARPA funds. Chief Information Officer Tim Flanagan and Stewart Bruce, Regional IT infrastructure and operations manager, also presented on broadband internet projects funded through ARPA. The county has funded broadband efforts with nearly $4.5 million in ARPA funds and $500,000 of CPUC funds.
