Clover Pakistan Limited (PSX: CLOV) is set to expand its retail footprint after receiving board approval to acquire all fuel and service stations owned and operated by its parent company, Fossil Energy (Private) Limited. In a notice to the Pakistan Stock Exchange on Monday, the company said the transaction will be conducted on standard commercial terms, following industry norms, and treated as an arm’s-length deal. The board has also given management the green light to pursue additional sites in the future, signaling a long-term expansion strategy in the fuel retailing segment. Clover emphasized that the acquisition remains contingent on finalizing documentation and securing regulatory and contractual approvals. This move points to a consolidation of operations within the group, likely aimed at giving Clover greater control over distribution while streamlining its presence in the downstream petroleum sector.
