Smart Elbow deflection elbow silo top kits from HammerTek include all components required to replace worn elbows and straight tubing in pneumatic conveying lines installed on silo tops. The kits can be assembled at ground level, reducing personnel exposure to hazards associated with installation at elevated heights and in adverse weather conditions. The primary component of each kit is the Smart Elbow, which incorporates a spherical chamber that protrudes partially beyond the 90-degree flow path. Within this chamber, a loose ball of conveyed material forms and rotates, gently deflecting incoming material around the bend and preventing direct impact with the elbow wall. Each kit includes all components required to replace failing elbows, including two Smart Elbow deflection elbows, available with socket-weld or flanged ends, along with necessary piping or tubing, connectors, and gaskets.
