Trains to and from Glasgow will be extremely busy this weekend, Saturday/Sunday 1st/2nd August, when Scottish megastar DJ Calvin Harris performs at the National Stadium at Barclays Hampden, which coincides with the final weekend of the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games.
For fans travelling from Glasgow Central to Mount Florida, which is the nearest station to Barclays Hampden, a queuing system will be in place on the concourse at Glasgow Central before the shows.
After the end of the shows, fans should queue on Florida Street to access Mount Florida station; Florida Street can be accessed via Cathkinview Road, and these will be the only roads leading to Mount Florida station that will be open for concert traffic.
Cathcart station is also an option for fans travelling home to stations via Neilston, and those travelling to stations via Newton are advised to use Kings Park.
Passengers should note that all entrances and the whole station concourse at Glasgow Central have now fully reopened after the fire on Union Street earlier this year.
