A manhunt is underway after a lone gunman opened fire on a group of people at the Hillwatch Informal Settlement in Kabah, Kariega, leaving four people dead and one critically injured on Monday afternoon. According to authorities, South African Police Service (SAPS) members responded to reports of gunfire in the informal settlement. A fifth victim, a male whose age has not yet been confirmed, survived the initial onslaught but sustained severe injuries. Police have urged anyone with information that could lead to the identification or arrest of the suspect to come forward immediately.
