Attendees hold up candle lights in memory of the July 19 landslide victims at KBC, Mon Town on July 26. Organised by the Konyak Baptist Church Mon (KBCM), the memorial service was attended by Deputy Commissioner Wennyei Konyak, NCS, public leaders and residents. Addressing the gathering, the deputy commissioner thanked KBCM for organising the service and expressed sympathy to the bereaved families and those injured in the tragedy. He also appealed to the people to uphold humanity, remain united and be better prepared to face such disasters in the future. Short addresses were delivered by Konyak Union president Yamao Konyak, Konyak Students' Union president Temwang Konyak and the president of the Eastern Naga Students' Federation (ENSF).
