Showers may start in the early afternoon today, with the best chance for heavier activity after 6 p.m. Strong to severe winds and large hail will be the hazards of greatest concern. Currently, Wood County has a 30-44% probability of 75 mph wind gusts. Straight line winds over a large area can cause widespread power outages and travel concerns. Wood County EMA will continue to monitor and provide updates as deemed appropriate.
