A man has been arrested for statutory rape of a child in Reidsville. The Rockingham County Sheriff’s Office has arrested 32-year-old Joshua Hayes of statutory rape of a child under the age of 15 and selling/delivering methamphetamine to a minor 13 years of age or under. The charges are the result of an investigation into a statutory rape of a minor reported to the Rockingham County Sheriff’s Office. Following a thorough investigation by the Criminal Investigations Division and with the assistance of DNA evidence, Hayes was arrested and placed in the Rockingham County Detention Facility under no bond.
