Victims in Double Fatal Crash ID’d

(Decatur County, IN) – The names of those involved in Friday morning’s double fatality wreck in Decatur County that also seriously injured one person have been released.
It was around 6 a.m. when Decatur County Dispatch received a call about a head-on crash on the 5,000 block of U.S. 421 North.
The Decatur County Sheriff’s Office says a vehicle driven by 41-year-old Jason Paul Hall of Marion appeared to be heading north when it crossed the center line and struck a southbound vehicle driven by 56-year-old Douglas Gordon Ott of Shelbyville.
James Ott was flown by medical helicopter to an Indianapolis hospital with severe injuries.
The Decatur County Sheriff’s Office received assistance from Decatur County Communications, Letts Fire/EMS, the Greensburg Police Department, Lifeline Medical Helicopter, Indiana State Police, Decatur County Coroner’s Office, Decatur County EMS, Adams Volunteer Fire Department, Statflight 5 Medical Helicopter, and Platinum Wrecker Service.
