Ghost Rider has been one of Marvel’s most requested additions to the MCU ever since the franchise began. Gosling has openly expressed interest in playing Ghost Rider over the years, so the announcement didn’t come completely out of nowhere. “I am going to let Ryan reveal what he wants to reveal, when he wants to reveal it, and what he wanted to reveal today is…he’s playing Ghost Rider. I personally think this is going to be a standalone Ghost Rider film that will focus on Johnny Blaze. Marvel Studios is currently aiming to release Ghost Rider exclusively in theaters in 2028.
