FGT Citygate averaged $4.890 on Friday, compared with $4.025 at SoCal Citygate and $3.795 at Florida Gas Zone 3. Southern California Gas Co. (SoCalGas) forecast total system sendout of nearly 2.2 million Dth/d natural gas for Monday, rising to about 2.24 million Dth/d, or roughly 2.2 Bcf/d, by midweek, according to the utility’s Envoy electronic bulletin board. That compares with a daily average of 1,878 MW in May, when natural gas met about 8% of the state’s needs. Its first phase can draw up to 400 MMcf/d of Permian feed gas from the El Paso system, competing with Southern California for natural gas moving west.
