Prosecutors say both drivers in two separate Bethlehem Township cases were "grossly negligent" when their friends were killed and suffered permanent brain injuries, respectively. The victim was taken to St. Luke’s Hospital-Anderson in Bethlehem Township for treatment, where she was immediately listed in critical condition. In the separate June 1 incident, 17-year-old David Jacob Nagy was killed while “table surfing” behind a friend’s car in the parking lot at Freedom High School in Bethlehem Township, Baratta said. Each of the drivers is close friends with the victim, and the drivers didn’t mean to injure anyone, the DA said. The obituary says the young Bethlehem Township resident was in the school’s gifted program and an Honor Society member.
