Tom Hunt reports that though Tiaki Wai is employing the same number of core “communications and engagement” staff as Wellington Water, it has added 12 contracted staff to bring the PR total to more than 22 full time equivalents. Tiaki Wai has this week been advertising for a communications and engagement adviser paying up to $113,464, with the top-listed skill being able to apply, “strategic approach to creating and sustaining Tiaki Wai’s brand value and reputation”. The Post report says that Wellington Water had just three communications staff in 2021. Tiaki Wai will be sending out the first bills for its water rates in the next few weeks.
