SportChek is set to move into a larger space at Calgary’s Chinook Centre, bringing its two existing mall locations together into one new store. Canadian Tire Corporation, which owns SportChek, confirmed to Daily Hive that the retailer is planning to relocate within the shopping centre in 2027. The new location will be a Destination Sport store, which SportChek says will offer a larger assortment of products, sport-focused shopping zones, enhanced brand experiences, and upgraded in-store services. The relocation will mark a major change for SportChek at Chinook Centre, where the company currently operates two separate locations within the mall. Chinook Centre has gotten some serious store upgrades over the past few months, with a world-renowned burger chain recently opening in the mall.
