The New York Mets placed All-Star outfielder Juan Soto on the 10-day injured list with a left calf strain on Saturday. Mets interim manager Andy Green told reporters Soto is expected to miss a significant amount of time. Soto was reportedly diagnosed with a Grade 2 strain, and Green said Soto's injury is more severe than the one that sidelined him for nearly three weeks in April of the 2025 season. After walking twice against starting pitcher Roki Sasaki on Friday, Soto exited the game in the sixth inning because of the calf injury. "Someone like him wants to be on the baseball field," Green said, per ESPN.
