Thompson-Okanagan businesses are getting pretty slick at collecting used oil and antifreeze products. The Top Collector Awards are given to businesses that collect and recycle the most used oil, antifreeze, oil filters and automotive containers in B.C. The top Thompson-Okanagan finisher on this year’s list was Vernon’s Interior Freight and Bottle Depot, which placed 14th. “Each collection site across the province plays a vital role in keeping our communities safe by recovering hazardous materials like used motor oil, antifreeze, oil filters and automotive containers,” Interchange Recycling operations director Jenn Robson said in a press release.
