As part of the drone wall, the first modern drone surveillance and interception position will be built by 2027 at the former Narva tank site. It will be equipped with an interceptor drone capable of safely bringing down criminal or military drones approaching from the east. According to the Center for Defense Investments, the defense forces and the Police and Border Guard Board have a combined budget of 30 million euros for low-altitude surveillance through 2028. The Division already has several Swedish-made Giraffe air defense radars, which are particularly suited to Estonia's forested terrain because they can be elevated above the tree line, unlike some other models. The drone problem is bound to grow with time
