Executives from Caliber, project partners and community leaders gathered Wednesday at 1801 Lincoln Ave. for a groundbreaking ceremony marking the start of construction of Hyatt Studios, a new extended-stay hotel in Steamboat Springs’ west end. “We expect Hyatt Studios to attract families, outdoor travelers and business guests while also supporting west-side businesses and helping spread visitor activity beyond the traditional mountain-base area.” Arizona-based Caliber is a preferred developer of Hyatt Studios under a master development agreement that grants the company exclusive development areas. The hotel in Steamboat Springs will be located on a 2.71-acre lot that was home to the Windemere Landscape & Garden Center until that business closed in September of 2021.
