11:30 pm: Bufkin has signed with the Pelicans, per RealGM’s log of official NBA transactions. 6:21 pm: Free agent guard Kobe Bufkin has agreed to a one-year contract with the Pelicans, league sources tell Michael Scotto of HoopsHype (Twitter link). Bufkin, 22, played for New Orleans in the just-completed Las Vegas Summer League, averaging 21.3 points, 5.3 rebounds and 3.0 assists in three games. Bufkin appeared in 16 games with the Lakers last season, signing a 10-day contract on January 13 and a standard deal on February 8. He’ll now try to resume his career with the Pelicans, who currently have 14 players with standard contracts.
