The ovens were purchased using a combined EC$12,500 in prize money earned through the school’s outstanding performances in the competition over two consecutive years. The school invested its EC$12,500 in prize money in two commercial convection ovens for its Food and Nutrition Department, creating a lasting benefit for current and future students. The investment reflects the school’s ongoing commitment to nurturing young culinary talent while ensuring future students benefit from the opportunities created through the Taste of Wadadli Junior Chef Initiative. We are pleased that our sponsorship of the Taste of Wadadli Junior Chef Competition has contributed to enhancing the learning environment at St. Joseph’s Academy. Building on the success of the Taste of Wadadli Junior Chef Competition, the Antigua & Barbuda Hotels and Tourism Association (ABHTA) recently launched the 2026 Taste of Wadadli Junior Chef Academy, marking an exciting new chapter in the programme.
