The two counties faced off in the 2001 All-Ireland final at Croke Park, with Tipp prevailing to complete three-in-a-row, and incredibly that was the last time camogie’s biggest day didn't feature either Cork or Galway. Either the Rebelettes or the Tribesgirls - or both - have been in every decider since, with Cork winning eleven titles in that time and Galway four. Galway and Cork faced each other in closely-contested finals in 2024 and '25, winning one apiece.
