Riyadh — Saudi Civil Defense announced early Saturday the activation of the National Emergency Early Warning Platform in Yanbu, sounding sirens to alert residents of a potential threat. Later, Civil Defense confirmed that the threat had subsided in Yanbu, urging residents to continue following official instructions and avoid gatherings or filming in public areas to ensure safety. The activation came hours after Saudi Arabia carried out military operations targeting Houthi positions in Yemen’s Hodeidah province, following attacks launched by the Iran-backed group. On Friday, Riyadh conducted airstrikes on Houthi military sites in Hodeidah. The rebels’ Al-Masirah TV reported two injuries, after the group declared a naval blockade on the Kingdom and claimed attacks on Saudi vessels.
