SRINAGAR: Police in south kashmir’s Shopian district have seized an LNT machine, a JCB and two dumpers allegedly involved in the illegal extraction and transportation of minerals in the Turkwangam area. The seized equipment includes one LNT machine, one JCB and two dumpers. 95/2026) has been registered at Police Station Zainapora under the relevant provisions of law, and an investigation has been initiated. Reiterating its commitment to protecting the district’s natural resources, Shopian Police said strict legal action would be taken against those involved in illegal mining and unauthorised mineral extraction.
