Santa arrived in style at the Boys and Girls club of Greenwich’s Camp Simmons on Friday. Arriving in a red fire truck, Santa was assisted by fire fighters and Fire Dept Chief Joseph McHugh as he distribute candy canes and sprayed the campers with water from the fire hose to cool them down from the summer heat! Camp Simmons features a large in-ground pool where children are grouped by ability for swimming lessons, and there is a pond for fishing and canoeing. The camp has many traditions and campers are able to form lasting friendships and lifelong memories. They particularly look forward to Friday hamburger and hot dog barbecue lunches with grills manned by staff and local celebrities.
