In the same vein, although I’ve enjoyed a squillion cruises with Le Boat on the Erne, Shannon and Canal du Midi, I fancied a go on the Dutch canals this time. First, the airport taxi driver charged us a disturbing €138 for the 20 minutes from Schiphol to Le Boat’s base at Vinkeveen. The instructions from Le Boat for getting through an unstaffed bridge were that it would lift automatically using sensors. In the end, we had to leave the boat in the marina there, arrange with Le Boat to collect it asap, and take an Uber to the airport. I’ve done about 15 cruises with Le Boat, and loved all of them.
