A girl is in a critical condition in hospital and a woman has died after a crash in Co Cavan. The incident, involving a car and a truck, took place on the R162 at Corclare, Shercock, after 5pm on Friday. The girl, who was a passenger in the car, was taken to Temple Street Hospital where she remains in a critical condition. The driver of the car, a woman in her 50s, was pronounced dead at the scene. A number of other people in the vehicles received medical treatment at the scene by ambulance staff.
