It was reported that the substance had been thrown at a house in the Rosemary Place area of the town at around 3.45am. The occupant of the house managed to put out the blaze, and no injuries were reported. A PSNI spokesperson said: “The occupant of the property managed to extinguish the fire, and thankfully, there were no reports of any injuries, however, this was a reckless attack, and our enquiries are ongoing this morning to establish the circumstances of the incident.” The spokesperson added: “We are appealing to anyone who was in the area at the time and saw any suspicious activity, or who might have any information which might assist, to contact detectives.”
